Mike Styllas

Mike is our first ambassador from Greece! He is a research associate at the Université Savoie Mont Blanc in France, and co-manager of the alpine refuge on Mount Olympus in Greece. His research has mainly focused on glacier dynamics, paleoclimate and more recently on Saharan dust deposition on the Mediterranean snowpack. He is an approved trainer by the French National Snow & Avalanche Association (ANENA).

Why join CSO?

Mike says he thinks it’s a pleasure to join the CSO Ambassador team and “share some Mediterranean snow cover data and observations from the growing ski touring community.”
