Snow Data Submitted by CSO Participants

Snow depth observations submitted by CSO participants via the Snow Scope, SnowPilot, or Varsom RegObs systems are compiled and made available through the CSO Web Map Application. Features include:

  • Map-based browsing and filtering
  • Text and graphic summaries of selected data. Summaries include depth vs. elevation and depth vs. time.
  • Download selected data as GeoJSON files

Filter (select) observations by variable, region (draw your area of interest on the map), or data source.

The map will update to highlight observations meeting the selected filter criteria.

Graphs display depth vs. elevation and depth vs. time plots as individual points or "density" plots, where darker colors represent more observations. Download data as GeoJSON files.
