Lisa Monsees

Lisa lives in Rayleigh, North Carolina, and is a small business owner and IT & Business Management Consultant. As a global warming advocate, Lisa thinks it’s important to educate ourselves about global warming and treating the Earth with care. She joined CSO because “the past several winters have proven that global warming is real.” She is passionate about anything outdoors.

Cute fact: Lisa has a senior rescue dog that she adopted in 2012 — he loves the outdoors too!

What is community science? Why join CSO?

To Lisa, the term [community science] simply means “Educating myself and others.” She thinks one reason for joining CSO is the realization that winter sports are changing with a changing climate, and studying snow is part of educating ourselves of that change. Every day, Lisa reminds herself that she can’t control others, only herself.
