Research scientist, DGGS
Katreen loves to backcountry ski with her dogs, husband and good friends! In her work for the Climate & Cryosphere Hazards Program at DGGS, Katreen is involved with multiple projects that focus on alpine slope instability hazards in Alaska using various remote sensing techniques. Katreen has a research background in avalanche dynamics and by serving as a board member for the state-wide Alaska Avalanche Information Center, she hopes to strengthen collaboration between research facilities and communities through communication with local avalanche centers.
