Anthony Arendt

Research Scientist, University of Washington

Anthony holds a joint appointment as a Senior Research Scientist with APL’s Polar Science Center, and a Research Fellow with the University of Washington’s eScience Institute. He received his PhD from the University of Alaska Fairbanks and was a postdoctoral researcher at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center. Anthony combines field mass balance observations with airborne altimetry and satellite gravimetry to quantify the runoff and sea level contributions of high latitude glaciers and ice caps. During the winter Anthony spends time cross country skiing in the mountains of the Pacific Northwest.
